Industry Context

The Challenge for Enterprise Distributors

AVANT opened in 2009 under Ian Kieninger and Drew Lydecker, and it sells nothing anyone can install. Access is the product. Trusted Advisors, the agents and consultants sitting next to the buyer, run AVANT's Pathfinder platform to compare suppliers and put real pricing in front of a client. Court Square Capital Partners has since come in as a growth investor, with Pamlico Capital reinvesting alongside. Two offices carry the whole business, one at 2 North Riverside Plaza in Chicago and one in Frisco, Texas

The model was built for connectivity, where a supplier turns the circuit up and the job is finished. Security refuses to behave that way. A SASE or cybersecurity selection made inside Pathfinder has a project hanging off it that nobody in the chain has agreed to own, because an advisor is a broker rather than an integrator and a supplier ships its own product rather than the migration and the identity work wrapped around it. Customers sign, then wait. Advisors carry the relationship and therefore carry the blame, and the second time it happens they source that category elsewhere. Sourcing quality is not the issue here. A category AVANT has to be credible in generates work its structure has no mechanism to fulfil

CWS fills that hole without disturbing anything. We deliver under the advisor's brand or the supplier's, as professional services attached to whatever was sourced, to one standard across the United States and Canada, in English and in French where Quebec or Canadian federal work requires both. Corova runs the scoping and quoting, which lets an advisor put a real implementation number in front of a client during the Pathfinder conversation instead of a month afterwards

Positioned at the Point of Decision

Why This Matters for AVANT Communications

A distribution business is only as strong as the categories buyers trust it in, and security is the one where the sale and the outcome sit furthest apart. Give advisors an implementation answer at the moment of decision and the category converts. Withhold one and they take the opportunity to somebody who has it
