The Challenge for Mid-Market Distributors
ThinkOn will not sell direct. That is written on its partner page as a rule rather than a preference, exclusively channel only, no competing with the partners who bring the deals. The Canadian owned business is arranged to keep that promise. Head office sits in Etobicoke, Ontario, with a second office in Rozelle, New South Wales, and infrastructure across Canada, the United States, the Bahamas, Australia and the United Kingdom, attested under ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27017, ISO/IEC 27018, SOC 2 Type II, CSA STAR Level 1 and PCI DSS. It also supplies the Government of Canada under a Cloud Framework Agreement
The promise creates a gap that no attestation closes. A partner who lands a Canadian government or regulated workload on ThinkOn's sovereign platform still has to field the people who design the identity model, tune the detection, run the assessment and sit across from the auditor. ThinkOn cannot supply them without competing with the very partner it just sold through. Canadian federal files want French. Quebec files require it. So the hardest hiring problem in the deal lands on the reseller or the MSP, at the exact moment the deal is biggest
CWS fills that gap without ever appearing in it. Our engineers deliver under the partner's brand and on the partner's paper, held to one delivery standard on either side of the border, and working in French when a Quebec or Canadian federal engagement demands it. Corova carries the scoping, the quote and the project tracking, so a ThinkOn partner can price the security work in the same week the infrastructure contract closes. The customer meets one team throughout
Why This Matters for ThinkOn
ThinkOn made its channel a promise most providers hedge on, and kept it. What that promise cannot do is put a security engineer in front of the partner's customer. The job has to go to someone equally uninterested in owning the account
