The Challenge for Enterprise Resellers
ConnectWise began in 1982 as an IT services firm two brothers ran out of their parents' house in Tampa. Arnie and David Bellini wrote software to run their own service desk, worked out that the software was the better business, and started selling it to other providers instead. Thoma Bravo took the company private in February 2019 and the founder stepped back
Being the system of record for a large part of the managed services industry means setting the pace of everyone else's work. ConnectWise brought a rebuilt platform to general availability in June 2026, an AI native successor to Asio assembled largely from code that arrived with the zofiQ acquisition in January of that year, with CPQ and ScreenConnect due to move across over the quarters after it. Each of those ports is a migration project inside a partner's business, and it lands beside the security work those same partners are already selling to their own clients. Acquisitions of Axcient and SkyKick in 2024 widened the portfolio again. Breadth is worth only what the partner base can actually deploy, and deployment is people rather than product
CWS staffs the delivery half of that equation. Engineers work under the brand of whoever owns the customer relationship, held to one standard, across the United States and Canada, and in French where Quebec or Canadian federal buyers require it. Corova runs the scoping and the quoting and keeps the project record current, which is the same operating discipline ConnectWise asks its partners to bring to their own clients. Capacity gets bought per engagement rather than hired

Why This Matters for ConnectWise
A platform rebuilt from the ground up creates services demand it cannot fulfil itself. That demand lands on partners already short of senior engineers, and unmet demand looks like a product problem long before anyone calls it a staffing one. CWS is the bench that closes the gap without a second logo appearing in front of the customer
