The Challenge for Enterprise Resellers
An affiliate of H.I.G. Capital bought every outstanding share of Converge Technology Solutions Corp. on 22 April 2025 at C$6.00 a share, took it off the Toronto Stock Exchange, and merged it the same day with Mainline Information Systems. The combined business was renamed Pellera Technologies and put its head office in Tallahassee, Florida. European operations kept the Converge name. North American ones did not, so the Canadian business customers signed with now trades under a brand launched only in 2025
Underneath that name sits a company assembled from more than thirty separate businesses since October 2017, and Canada is where the seams show most. Registered office in Gatineau, head office in Toronto, and a customer base inherited from firms that sold into Quebec and the federal government, Notarius among them, picked up in 2022 through the majority owned Portage CyberTech. Those accounts expect French. A rebrand does not standardise how thirty odd delivery teams scope a security engagement, and integration attention after a take private goes to finance systems long before it reaches delivery
CWS fills that gap without adding to it. Consultants deliver under whichever brand the account carries, to one written delivery standard, across the United States and Canada, with French language delivery for Quebec and federal work. Corova holds scoping and quoting and then tracks the project through to close, which is exactly the visibility a business still merging two back offices does not yet have. Work lands the same way in Toronto as it does in Gatineau, and that is the one thing a roll up cannot acquire. The customer notices none of it
