The Challenge for Enterprise Resellers
GDT built its business on Cisco. John Bumgarner founded the company in Dallas in 1996, and it holds Cisco Gold Partner status with Triple Master certification, which is about as far as a single vendor relationship goes. Operations now run from the GDT Innovation Campus at 999 Metromedia Place, with a Center of Excellence in Bangalore, and the company employs more than 900 people worldwide including over 450 certified architects and engineers
Read the rest of the partner list and you can see where the business is being pulled. Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, NetApp, NVIDIA and HPE Juniper Networking are not network refresh vendors. They belong to the security and AI infrastructure stack, and the engineer who designs a campus fabric is not the engineer who builds a detection pipeline or runs a cloud configuration review. Selling into energy, public sector, healthcare, financial services and global service providers means the security requirements turn up with a regulator standing behind them. Scale does not solve this. Nine hundred people is a great many people to have and still be short the specific two dozen who can run an identity governance rollout, because those specialists are scarce and expensive in every market at once
CWS supplies exactly those people and keeps the GDT name on the work. We staff to one delivery standard across the United States and Canada, and where a Canadian federal or Quebec engagement has to run in French, we run it in French. Corova handles the scoping, the quote and the project tracking, so a security engagement moves at the pace of your sales cycle rather than your recruiting cycle
Relevant CWS Services for GDT
Based on GDT's specializations, the following CWS service lines align with their cybersecurity practice.
Why This Matters for GDT
Cisco depth is why customers call GDT first and, on a security build, why they eventually call somebody else second. Closing that second call does not require rebuilding the bench from scratch. It requires a team you can bill through under your own brand, on your own paper, before the customer goes looking
