The Challenge for Mid-Market Resellers
IronEdge Group was registered in Houston in July 2005 and stayed a Texas company for most of its life. That changed in February 2023, when The Riverside Company merged it with ProVelocity to build a managed IT services platform. The map redrew fast afterwards. Phoenix, Albuquerque, Grand Junction and two Kansas City offices now sit on the same list as Houston and San Antonio, and LANstar, an Arizona provider founded in 2000, was folded in later that year
A platform consolidates the logo long before it consolidates the engineering. IronEdge answers to one name across six states now, and a manufacturer in Albuquerque expects what a Houston client gets. Riverside's thesis is more deals, so the count of inherited tool stacks and inherited working habits keeps climbing rather than falling. Client demand has moved up a level at the same time. Engineering, manufacturing, construction and financial services buyers are asking about identity governance, cloud configuration review and detection engineering, and those skills do not come attached to an acquired help desk. Standing them up in Phoenix and Kansas City and Grand Junction at once is not a hiring plan
CWS answers that by staying invisible. Engagements are staffed under the IronEdge Group name, held to a single delivery standard, and available anywhere across the United States and Canada, with English and French delivery where Quebec or Canadian federal requirements apply. No office has to carry its own specialists to sell specialist work. Corova runs the scoping, the quoting and the project tracking, which means the next company Riverside buys inherits a working process on day one rather than spending a year building one

Why This Matters for IronEdge Group
Riverside will keep buying, so the capability gap is structural rather than a bad quarter. A bench you can call on the day a deal closes is worth considerably more than one you start recruiting for afterwards. The clients you inherit will test it long before the integration plan is finished
