The Challenge for Mid-Market Resellers
Four acquisitions in under three years. Lumifi Cyber took over Datashield in 2022, the Scottsdale managed detection and response firm its founder Michael Malone had started in 2009, then bought Castra in 2023 and both Netsurion and Critical Insight in 2024. Netsurion brought roughly 400 clients. Critical Insight brought more than 200, weighted toward healthcare and local government. All of it now runs on ShieldVision out of one security operations center in Scottsdale, Arizona, staffed by about 125 people
Buying four companies in that window means inheriting four ways of working. Castra arrived with Exabeam engineers and a SIEM practice. Netsurion came with a managed extended detection and response stack and a client book weighted toward other managed service providers, which means Lumifi now delivers under partner brands as well as its own. Critical Insight added incident response for organizations where a bad week becomes a public event. Every one of those absorbed customers also expects the ShieldVision experience they were sold rather than the one they had. Integration does not run quietly beside delivery. It competes for the same analysts, and 125 people is not much surface area to absorb three client bases at once
CWS staffs the assessment, engineering and advisory work under the Lumifi name so the security operations center keeps its own analysts on the console. One standard governs delivery across the United States and Canada, and French speaking engineers cover Quebec and Canadian federal engagements. Corova runs the scoping, the quote and the project tracking, which matters most when work arrives through a partner brand rather than direct

Why This Matters for Lumifi Cyber
Acquisitions add clients faster than they add capacity, and the gap shows up as lead time on the professional services queue. Contracted delivery under Lumifi's own brand closes it without adding a fifth thing to integrate
