Industry Context

The Challenge for Regional Resellers

Rapid7 named Novawatch its MSSP Partner of the Year for North America in 2025, then named it again in 2026. In April 2026 NetCov, the Danvers, Massachusetts managed IT and cybersecurity platform, acquired the Scottsdale business and said the brand, the leadership and the service model would all stay put. Novawatch also holds SOC 2 Type II and operates as a PCI Approved Scanning Vendor

Both halves of that create the same pressure. A vendor award at that scale is earned by concentrating a practice around one platform, and it pulls in more of that platform's work than the team who earned it can comfortably carry. Ownership by a national IT services platform brings a second wave, this time from a customer base that never picked its security tooling with Rapid7 in mind. Meanwhile the Approved Scanning Vendor obligations and the SOC 2 Type II report mean delivery is auditable work, so surge capacity cannot come from loosely supervised contractors. Growth arriving that fast with evidence requirements attached is a staffing problem well before it is a strategy problem

This is the shape CWS was built for. Engineers arrive under the Novawatch name, held to one delivery standard whether the job is a penetration test or an ASV scan cycle, and we work across the United States and Canada with French language capability where Quebec or Canadian federal engagements call for it. Corova carries the scoping, the quote and the project record, which means the audit trail NetCov will eventually ask for already exists instead of being reconstructed after the fact

Why This Matters for Novawatch

Two consecutive Rapid7 awards and a new owner are both signals that demand is about to outrun a Scottsdale bench. Hiring for that in Arizona takes quarters. Contracting for it under your own brand takes a phone call, and NetCov gets one consistent delivery record across everything Novawatch signs
