NWN launched in 2000 and, twenty one years later, bought a company eight years older than itself. Carousel Industries of Exeter, Rhode Island had been founded in 1992, and the combined firm traded as NWN Carousel for roughly three years before dropping the second half of the name. Ownership changed in February 2024, when New State Capital Partners, the majority holder since 2015, sold to American Securities
Two earlier deals sit underneath that, Western Blue in Sacramento in 2010 and Collabramind in Dallas in 2016, which means a bench of more than 1,000 people carries four separate hiring histories. Each of those organizations arrived with its own idea of what finished work looks like. NWN sells one experience across all of it, and its management platform promises a single view of service delivery. At No. 48 on CRN's 2026 Solution Provider 500 the company has the scale to make that promise in every market it touches. Instrumenting consistency is easier than staffing it. Public safety agencies, federal customers, health systems and universities each impose their own vetting, and every one of them reads the name on an engineer's badge before it reads a dashboard
CWS supplies the staffing half. Security engineers and architects deploy under the NWN name, held to a single delivery standard across the United States and Canada, working in English or in French where Canadian federal or Quebec engagements demand it.
