The Challenge for Regional Resellers
Sagiss did not begin as an IT company. It was carved out of Middleton, Burns and Davis, PC, where Karl Springer and Jim Lancaster had been running network administration since 1992, and it was incorporated in its own right in 1997 as MBD Network Services, LLC. The shape of the business has barely changed since. One office in Irving, about 30 full time employees, and a stated policy of putting no contract or offshore labor anywhere near client systems
That is a real promise and a hard ceiling in the same sentence. Sagiss looks after small and mid sized organizations across the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex, and the larger ones are where the work stops being tickets and starts being projects. An identity cleanup ahead of a Microsoft 365 tenant consolidation occupies a specialist for weeks. So does a segmentation design, or the evidence gathering behind a client's own audit. None of it arrives often enough to justify a permanent hire against a payroll of thirty. Declining sends the client shopping for someone larger. Subcontracting quietly breaks the exact promise that won the client, and a firm holding SOC 2 Type 2 and MSPAlliance Cyber Verify Level 3 knows better than most what that would cost
CWS was built for that gap. We put security and cloud engineers into engagements that carry the Sagiss name, working to one delivery standard across the United States and Canada, and in French as well as English wherever a client's Quebec or Canadian federal obligations require it. None of the arrangement is visible to the client. Corova, the platform behind it, handles scoping, quoting and project tracking, so the specialist arrives against a defined scope and a fixed price rather than an open ended conversation

Why This Matters for Sagiss
A thirty person firm that has refused to compromise on who touches client systems has earned the right to be selective about partners. That is precisely the argument for a bench you rent rather than one you carry. Sagiss keeps the relationship, keeps the standard it has defended since 1997, and stops losing the one project a year that would otherwise walk to a larger competitor
