- SWK Technologies is the software subsidiary of the public company formerly named SilverSun Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: SSNT). SilverSun completed a $1 billion equity investment from Jacobs Private Equity II, LLC on June 6, 2024 and was renamed QXO, Inc., which redirected the parent toward building products distribution. Trade press reported that a planned spin-off of the SilverSun software business into a separately traded entity did not proceed and that SWK remained with the renamed parent

The Challenge for Enterprise Resellers
In June 2024 the publicly traded parent of SWK Technologies took a one billion dollar equity investment from Jacobs Private Equity II, renamed itself QXO and set out to consolidate building products distribution. A planned spin off of the SilverSun software business into a separately traded company was abandoned. SWK stayed where it was, an ERP practice inside a parent whose growth story is now a different industry entirely. The practice itself is substantial: a Sage Diamond Partner and Acumatica Gold Certified Partner selling into manufacturers and distributors from East Hanover, New Jersey and ten further metros, built up partly by acquisition, Partners in Technology in 2019 and JCS Computer Resource Corporation in 2023
Capital and executive attention follow the parent's new thesis. It leaves SWK selling ERP to an increasingly security conscious buyer with no obvious internal sponsor for building a security practice. Sage and Acumatica deals now arrive carrying questions the consultants were never hired to answer. Who watches the hosted environment out of hours. Will you complete our vendor security questionnaire and sign the attestation at the bottom. Two rounds of acquisition brought customers and offices, and also brought eleven locations worth of different working habits, so any single new capability rolls out more slowly than it looks on a slide. Losing the security conversation does not just cost the security fee. It costs the hosting and the managed cloud that were meant to sit underneath the ERP for the next decade
CWS gives SWK a security practice it does not have to build. Every consultant carries an SWK Technologies badge and works to the same delivery standard, anywhere in the United States or Canada, with French speaking delivery where Quebec or Canadian federal contracts require it. Corova produces the scope and the quote, and tracks delivery against them

Why This Matters for SWK Technologies
SWK does not need permission from a building products parent to answer a security questionnaire and win the hosting that follows it. What it needs is delivery capacity that shows up wearing the SWK name. The ERP relationships are the hardest part of that sale and they are already won
