Industry Context

The Challenge for Regional Resellers

Winslow Technology Group was built on one storage line. Scott Winslow founded the company in 2003 selling Compellent, and when Dell acquired Compellent in 2011 that narrow bet became the foundation of the business. Winslow has said publicly that a fair criticism of the firm would be that it does not go wide enough. WTG still runs that way. About 85 people run the practice on a short partner list led by Dell Technologies, and the firm placed No. 231 on CRN's 2026 Solution Provider 500, its tenth appearance

Depth is an advantage right up to the moment a customer asks for something the partner list does not cover, and security is where that happens now. An infrastructure refresh at a hospital or a manufacturer drags identity, segmentation and recovery testing along with it, and those are consulting hours rather than product lines. WTG carries Arctic Wolf and Fortinet, so the tooling is there. The bench is the constraint. Building a security practice inside an 85 person firm means pulling engineers off the Dell and Nutanix work that funds everything, or hiring ahead of demand and hoping utilisation catches up. Neither protects the thing WTG actually sells, which is a technical relationship customers keep for years

That is the specific problem CWS solves. Consultants deliver as WTG, invoiced by WTG, held to the same standard on every engagement, with coverage through the United States and Canada and French language delivery where Quebec or Canadian federal work requires it. Corova handles scoping, quoting and project tracking, which keeps a security engagement moving at the pace of a hardware quote rather than a hiring cycle

Why This Matters for Winslow Technology Group

Going deep rather than wide is a strategy, not a weakness, so long as the depth reaches the work customers ask for next. Security is that work. Borrowing a bench costs far less than diluting the practice that earned WTG ten appearances on the Solution Provider 500 and a Tech Elite 250 place every year since 2022
