The Challenge for Enterprise Resellers
On the last day of 2008, Firoz Lalji took Zones off the Nasdaq, paying $7.00 a share for the stock that he and his related parties did not already hold. That listing went back to 1996, when the company floated as Multiple Zones International. The business underneath it is older still, a 1986 catalog operation that mailed The Mac Zone and then The PC Zone to buyers who had no other way to compare prices. Zones has been private since, run from Auburn, Washington, and certified since 2005 as a Minority Business Enterprise by the National Minority Supplier Development Council, with Corporate Plus membership on top
Certification of that kind works as a procurement instrument, not a plaque. Buyers with supplier diversity targets book what they spend through Zones as tier 1 minority spend, which is one reason Zones holds contracts carrying security scope next to digital workplace and networking work across more than 120 countries. Credit follows the contracting party. Zones has to hold the paper, and the delivery has to look like Zones to the client who is counting it. Buying nfrastructure in 2016 added field and managed services capacity in the United States. A client in Montreal or Ottawa asking for security consultants on site and working in French is a separate problem, and global delivery centers in Noida and Bengaluru do not answer it
CWS answers it by staffing under the Zones brand. Our consultants work to one standard wherever Zones sells in the United States and Canada, in English or in French as the contract demands, and Corova holds the scope and the quote and shows Zones account managers exactly where a project stands

Based on Zones's specializations, the following CWS service lines align with their cybersecurity practice.
Why This Matters for Zones
Tier 1 diverse spend counts only when the buyer pays Zones directly, which makes subcontracted delivery under the Zones name the cheapest way to add security capacity without disturbing the attribution. The certification wins the contract. Somebody still has to be in the room
